The Story Behind Frandeviv
Hi, I’m Despina, the creator behind Frandeviv, a handmade jewelry brand based in Athens.
I studied Interior Architecture, Decoration and Object Design, a field that brought me closer to form, texture, and the process of turning an idea into something tangible.
In 2017, I discovered silversmithing, and jewellery became my way of creating and expressing myself.
My inspiration comes mainly from nature, organic forms, natural textures, and the beauty of the raw. I am drawn to things that are not perfectly formed, but have their own character.
Each piece begins with wax, through the process of wax carving. This is where I work on every form and detail, shaping each piece while keeping something of the natural movement and imperfection found in nature.
Frandeviv was born in 2019 from a special bond and a shared story. A name with personal meaning that still holds a special place in our journey.
Today, every piece is handmade in Athens, with careful attention to every detail.
All Frandeviv jewellery is made from 925 sterling silver.
